Before Qatar Airways began service in April 2014, it had been over a decade since a new international carrier had begun service to Philadelphia. Based on the huge success of the route, Qatar Airways chose Philadelphia as the inaugural U.S. airport for its Airbus A350.

The expanding international service has increased the travel of people and goods through Philadelphia. The airport is experiencing steady growth for the first time in over a decade.

With services from 25 different airlines, Philadelphia is able to offer a wide variety of options to its customers. It also serves as the East Coast hub for UPS, making is absolutely necessary to have as many routes available as possible.
